We had a lovely stretch of sunny spring days last week, and I was thrilled to be able to take advantage of it during this session with the “D” family at Volunteer Park. We encountered a slight wrinkle when we got there and discovered that there were bicycle races going on, but lucky for us, we found a few lovely spots where we could take photos and still see all the action. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

We had a rare, warm sunny day last weekend, so decided to take advantage of the lovely weather and head to the beach! Sadly, we missed out on the orcas that were there earlier in the day, but we did catch a spectacular sunset. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of looking at water and mountains.
I’m discovering just how spoiled I was by the weather in TX – it’s tough doing outdoor sessions here in the winter! If the rain doesn’t get you, the cold and the gray will. Still, the “D” family, also recent transplants to Seattle, showed up ready to rock it out in their raincoats and umbrellas! Here are a few sneak peeks from their session.
In a strange bit of coincidence and luck, some friends of ours from from back in the dark ages, before kids, moved to Seattle just a few weeks before us. We’ve had a lovely time reconnecting these last few months and and watching our daughters become friends. Last weekend, we attended an impromptu party celebrating the first birthday of adorable Miss N. Not sure how much she enjoyed her cupcake (she seemed to prefer crumbling it up to eating it), but fun was had by all.
